This reaction lowers the metabolic rate, which affects the weight loss program. To avoid this, quantity of fat consumed should be optimum – neither more nor less. Studies have shown that an ideal diet should have 55% carbs, 30% protein and 15% fat.
An hour-long low-intensity exercise will do the trick: Cardiovascular and aerobic exercises are ideal to burn fat. However, most people do these exercises for 15-20 minutes, which doesn’t produce any results. During this initial period, only glycogen is converted into energy and not fat. Only after the first 15 minutes does the body start burning fat. To burn fat using aerobic exercises, it is necessary to persevere for at least one hour.
Resistance exercises like weight training are also helpful in burning fat. There may not be any weight loss due to growth in the muscle mass.
An ideal low-fat diet combined with aerobic exercises and weight training is the perfect way to lose abdominal fat.
