Can I Really Loose 100 Pounds?
If you have a lot of weight to loose it is easy to feel that the task at hand is an impossible one to complete. One hundred pounds is a lot of weight and knowing where to begin and whether or not the task can be completed is a hard thing to do. However, you can loose 100 pounds, or more if need be!
Believe In Yourself.
The first thing that needs to happen when you are looking at whether or not you can really loose 100 pounds is believing in yourself. It isn’t always easy and you will have to remind yourself often. You can do this!
Aim For Healthy.
There are a lot of people who aim for being skinny when they have a lot of weight to loose. However, this isn’t a good way to go because you can become obsessed with the weight and will get easily discouraged. Instead aim for living a healthy lifestyle.
Start Slow.
Losing a large amount of weight and keeping it off is about making lifestyle changes. These changes take time to become part of your life. So, start slow and don’t be in a hurry!
Where To Begin.
The first thing is to get moving more and to eat less. To do these things start parking farther away, taking the stairs when possible, and getting a pedometer to make sure you are walking about 10,000 steps a day. To eat less start with a food diary. Honestly write everything down including the portion sizes. This will let you evaluate what and how much you are eating. Then start to cut the amount!
1 to 2 Pounds.
When loosing weight it is recommended that you loose no more then one to two pounds a week. This is often a lot slower then we want to see results, but it is healthier, safer, and you are a lot less likely to gain the weight back.
Keep Going.
Take it one day at a time and continue to change your habits and adjust your lifestyle to something healthy. Once your portions are smaller and you are moving more then add a couple of exercise routines to your week and start eating more fruits and vegetables. Continue to make small lifestyle changes.
You Don’t Have To Be On The Biggest Looser.
The Biggest Looser has excited a lot of people as they watch contestants loose 100 or more pounds. However, you don’t have to be on the show to do it. Just take your time, make lifestyle changes, and be willing to give it 1 to 1 ½ years.
Time.
It will take time to loose the weight. Don’t concentrate on your weight loss, but rather getting healthy and living a lifestyle that is conductive to health!
If you are willing to work toward getting healthy and staying healthy then you will find that you can indeed loose the weight you need to loose. You can get healthy and live longer as well.
