What are the dangers of being obese?

Most people wanted to lose weight primarily because of their appearance. They wanted to lose weight to fit in to different dresses and flaunt their body on beaches. Most people think losing weight more on the physical side rather than seeing it on the health side. Being obese surely hit out emotions being fat and big, but what we need to focus on are the dangers of being obese that would lead to death if not addressed properly.

Weight management plays a big part on our health, what we eat would reflect who we are. The nutrition that we are getting from most foods, serves as our energy to keep us going. On the other side, in excess of these foods that we eat would also play an important role contributing different disease to our own selves. Obesity has been ranked as one of the major problems the world is facing today; it has been a major problem to many people in the United States and to different countries as well.

What are the major health effects of obesity to us?

Obesity has been linked and would always be linked to heart diseases. Many people die from heart attack every year and this is due to several reasons like lifestyle, obesity, and poor eating habits. If we are overweight the world load of our heart which is to pump blood would be doubled due to thick blood volume that is full of fats.

Another disease that most overweight people have is what we called arteriosclerosis. In lay mans it means narrowing and brittleness of the arteries, due to fat deposition inside the arteries. These results to narrowing of the arteries thus, little blood supply to the major parts of our body. If organs on our body receives little blood supply it means they are also receiving little oxygen supply. Little oxygen supply to different body parts would eventually lead to organ failure and death.

Obese people are also prone in developing diabetes, a disease in which there is a high glucose level in the blood and sometimes high or low insulin level in the blood. Diabetes is a disease which is classified as preventable if it is not genetically acquired.

Changing your lifestyle would be a huge impact to your health…

If you don’t want to acquire different dreadful diseases, then it is time to change your lifestyle. It would not benefit your friend or your neighbor but it would be you who would benefit from it. Bear in mind that the diseases mentioned above would be preventable, meaning they could be prevented in many ways.

Eating what is right for you and that is healthy and nutritious foods would be good. Lessening your sodium intake that can be seen through condiments, canned foods or anything that has too much salt in it would be good to your health. Exercising more often and preventing foods that are too fatty would save your life and money to these obesity killer diseases.
