How To Lose Fat On Your Under Arms
A lot of us struggle with extra fat on the underside of our arms. This fat isn’t attractive and it jiggles when you wave. However, it is one of the hardest places to get rid of the fat there. So, what is one to do?
Lose Weight.
It isn’t going to be enough to exercise or try to tone that area. You will have to lose weight in order to lose fat from under your arm. This is never an easy thing, but the following things will help.
Eat well by making good food choices and eating smaller portions.
Exercise at least 3 times a week for 30 minutes or more.
Drink plenty of water.
It is often not quite this simple, but this is the basics behind weight loss.
Exercise the Triceps.
The muscles that are in the back of the arm where fat is often deposited are called the triceps. These muscles are a little harder to exercise, but it is important to do that to tone that muscle up. By toning the muscle you can reduce the jiggle and you can also give it a better look as you lose weight.
Triceps dips- This exercise is done by standing in front of a table and placing the palms of your hands flat on the table with your fingers pointing forward. Walk your legs away so that your arms have to support your body. Once you can feel the muscle burning on the back of your arms hold it for a count of three. Then stand back up. Repeat several times.
Backward Lifts- This exercise is done by placing a dumbbell or soup can in each palm. Relax your wrists and have each palm face backwards. Standing straight up lift the soup cans or the dumbbells as high as possible backwards.
Tricep Extensions- To do this you will need to lean forward and support your body on a chair or table with one hand. The other hand should have a dumbbell or soup can. Raise your elbow as far back as possible. Extend it out in the backward motion. Keep your wrist and shoulder from moving and repeat.
Each of these exercises will help tone the area up and will make improvements on it as you lose weight.
Stretches.
It is also important that you do a variety of stretches throughout the day. This is especially true if you have a job that keeps you in one position for a long period of time. Being stationary can cause muscles to begin to deteriorate. By stretching you can keep them healthy. Stretch your arms over your head, move your arms about, and use one arm to pull the other one closer to the body. Stretch once every hour to keep your muscles strong.
While you won’t be able to get rid of the under arm fat simply by exercising, it will help tone the area up. Combined with a healthy lifestyle and you will have the arms you want.
