Motivation by surrounding yourself with motivating booster people

Whenever you work towards achievement of some goal, it is your motivation that gives you a drive. Most of us struggle with staying motivated and reaching our goals. Especially in weight loss you can see number of people going on diets and then leaving it with little or no results.
Reason for struggle:
The reason why most of us are struggling and will continue to struggle with our weight is that we lack consistency. If you want to reach your goal you need consistency in your effort, come rain or shine you know what you need to do and you keep on doing it.
What brings consistency in our behavior is motivation. Motivation helps us overcome temptations, desires, lethargy or anything which stands in our way of achieving our goals
You have a perfect diet and an award winning exercise program but what you do not have is motivation, how to achieve your goal if do not have the will to do whatever it takes to achieve it. Most of us do the mistake in assuming that we have the motivation that is why we are starting the weight loss program but what we fail to realize that motivation requires ongoing effort.
How to be motivated in weight loss program?
One way to constantly be motivated and be inspired is keeping yourself surrounded by people who motivates you or make you feel positive. Positive people not only have a positive outlook towards life but also make other around them feel positive and approach their problem positively.
In weight loss you need emotional support as sometime you feel like giving up especially if you hit plateau and your weight is not reducing. You need someone to talk out your frustration with and someone who can give you a boost and keep you going.
What happens when you surround yourself with negative people?

  • If you surround yourself with someone whose lifestyle is unhealthy you are most likely to abandon your weight loss program. For example a friend comes to you and has an unhealthy life style is more likely to insist in watching TV and ordering pizza.
  • Another example, you feel like quitting your weight loss program you call your friend who is someone with low self esteem, you tell your problem and your friend will most probably say to you “no, you cannot do it. It is too hard.”

Remember in motivation you need your energy as well as energy around you to turn into a drive force to achieve your goal. People with negative energy tend to drag themselves and other down.
Surround yourself with people who will make you want to achieve more, who will give you a helping push to go ahead, who will gladly order salad and encourage you to do the same, who will happily agree to go to park and run a mile with you. You will be focused and motivated and will definitely achieve your weight loss.
