So you may already be on that 2nd day of a great weight loss diet plan. Things are looking great but then, a box of your favorite brownies is on your kitchen top. Tempting isn’t it? On days of trials and great temptation, how do you resist such allurement and stick to your weight loss plan? Read on and find out how you can resist and come out victorious on very enticing moments of just pigging out.

It’s a Lifestyle

Diets never work – unless it becomes your lifestyle. When you decide to go on a diet this week and return to your regular heavy meals the next day, you will surely gain back the weight you have lost. So, instead of crash dieting, find a diet that will provide you the required energy to sustain you throughout the day with fewer calories.

You can do this by eating six small meals at interval a day. Snack on fruits and veggie sticks instead of chips and crackers. Avoid salty food. Load up on fruits, vegetables and healthier meat such as fish.

Have a Balance

We all have our weaknesses and most will attest that it’s their sweet tooth that made them do it. Instead of sulking and feeling guilty after overindulging on a box of cookies, forgive yourself and move on. Start fresh again and decide that you have learned from a mistake you are not to commit again.

Treat yourself once a week to an eat-all-I-want-to-eat day. Yes! Eat a brownie or two, a slice of pizza or that steamy lasagna with a milkshake. You deserve it after a week of tedious discipline.

Create a Healthy Kitchen

Having a stock of healthy food will allow you to eat healthily. Fill your pantry with whole wheat crackers, fresh juices, skim milk and dried fruits. Load your refrigerator with fresh vegetables and fruits from the local market and water.
Invest in a good blender, measuring cups, steamer and griller. Yes, these kitchen utensils will also help you stick to your weight loss plans.

Time Management

There is a time for everything. If you truly want to succeed in this plan, you have to manage your time very well. It means creating a schedule where work, exercise and fun are well integrated.

If you go to work at 9, then wake up earlier for your regular exercise. If you have to leave earlier, schedule it in the afternoon. Surely, there is ample time for everything.

Positive Thoughts

My last tip is to maintain a positive attitude. Believe in your desires and tell to yourself everyday that you can do it. Never surrender. If you have failed today, if you ate an extra dish of pasta for lunch, then balance it by eating less at dinner time. It really is a matter of balancing and counting calories.

Remember that great dedication and discipline is a key factor to achieve the goal you are aiming for. Focus on your goal and you will be able to stick to your diet plan.
