When following any weight loss program you need to prepare yourself for temptations and deviations. If you prepare yourself beforehand your mind will condition a response and this will help you stick to your plan and keep you motivated.
Following are some situations and their appropriate responses which will help you stick to your weight loss plan:

  • You went out for a dinner, you look at the menu and a thought comes in your mind “oh, one day will not hurt, I will eat today” – temptation.
Your motivation boosting response: “I lost few ponds and I am looking great, I will not chuck away all my effort for just one dinner, I will order something low calorie and keep on my diet. And I will achieve my target because I deserve better”
  • You are watching TV and an Ad of pizza comes on screen, a thought comes in your mind “I have not had a single bite of that delicious pizza since so many days; I should give myself a break. After all I deserve it”.
Your motivation boosting response: “Yes I did not have anything delicious to eat since long but do I deserve being fat? I am looking good since I lost few pounds, I want to look more attractive and feel good. I can pass this because I deserve much more why throw it all away for a pizza!”
  • Your kids have finished eating dinner you look at their plate, there is still food in it a thought comes in your mind “look at all the food, it will all go to waste. This is not right, I will finish it”.
Your motivation boosting response: “I am not a waste basket, I have worked hard to get this body and I will continue to achieve more as I deserve better.” Try making less or ordering less for your kids next time you give them a meal.
  • You are feeling depress, anxious or stressed and a thought to come to your mind “to hell with everything and everybody! Maybe an ice cream or a candy bar will help me feel better”.
Your motivation boosting response: “I am not that worthless that I should punish my body over this, filling myself with calories will make me feel worse after wards. I have worked hard for my body and I do not need negativity around me, I deserve better.”
