How to stay motivated in dieting through lifestyle modification
When you plan to lose weight, you take in to account the diet plan and exercise. After few days you start losing interest and bang you back to where you started from! What happened? You followed all the steps of diet plan; you did all the steps of the exercise, what you did not account for was motivation.
Why Motivation?
Motivation is like a fuel which constantly supply energy to your drive to lose weight. If you are motivated to lose weight, you are most likely to achieve your goal. But why it is so hard to stay motivated? The answer is simple, we start to lose track of our goal when we lose the will to achieve it. In dieting it is essential to keep your goal in sight, as you are constantly bombarded with choices and situation which will try to detract you from your goal.
In order to bring result in your weight loss effort, you must make the equation of weight loss: Diet plan + exercise + motivation = weight loss.
So you have diet plan and exercise, how can you bring motivation in it, well you can consider the following:

When losing weight it is paramount that you evoke positivity in your life, losing weight when surrounded with negativity will never bring desired result. You can bring positivity in your life by first changing your perception about yourself, treat yourself with respect and keep yourself surrounded with people who love and respect you.
Remember depression is major source of obesity and over eating. Depression creates a hole in our soul which most of us try to fill with food as it is convenient source of temporary euphoria. Look out for signs of depression and try to avoid things, people or events that make you depress.
it is important to keep yourself busy and occupied as an idle mind lead to boredom and will think of food as you are denying your body regular food intake.
You can keep yourself motivated through knowing what to do before the problem arises, kind of like contingency planning. You have to identify: what makes you over eat? Is it depression, boredom, anxiety or personal achievement?
Then try to address what to do, avoid them or face them. One has to be realistic as not all these factor can be avoided for that very reason keep a stock of healthy options in your home like fruits, vegetable, low fat yogurt, low fat and high fiber cereals etc.
Motivation requires constant effort, one has to be realistic and not to set goal which is itself a de motivator. You need to set goals that are realistic and easy to reach. Remember, to start a journey one has to take a step at a time you cannot take a giant leap and reach your destination. So have the small motivational booster as you set small goals in your journey of big weight loss.
