Exercise. Having someone to exercise with makes you more accountable. It is harder to skip out on a friend then it is to skip out on a workout.
Eating Differently. Often times losing weight will require you to eat differently. If you are losing weight with a friend there is someone there to try new things with you, to help you cook, and to help you make good choices.
Shopping. You can take your weight loss friend shopping. This will help you both make the right decisions.
Accountability. We don’t tend to hold one another accountable anymore. However, it is often an important part of weight loss. If no one will know about your midnight snack then you are more likely to have it then if you have a friend you will need to tell.
Celebration. Often times losing weight is a battle. It requires celebration, but if you have never struggled with your weight then you won’t completely understand. On the other hand, if you are losing weight as well then you will definitely understand.
A shoulder to cry on. In a perfect world those who wanted and tried to lose weight would. Reality says that this isn’t always true and having a friend there to help you through it helps. It doesn’t mean you will really need a shoulder to cry on, but having a friend there is going to help.
