Blueberries are tasty little fruits, but that isn’t enough to get you to eat them regularly. However, these little fruits are on the top of many superfood lists. Blueberries will give your body lots of nutrients, antioxidants, and phytochemicals. But they will do more then that!

Buying Blueberries.
Unfortunately not everyone can go out back and pick blueberries for breakfast. In some locations they are really pricey even when “in season”.
- Don’t be afraid to buy frozen blueberries. Check for sales in the frozen fruit section. Buy these whenever they are cheaper then the fresh varieties.
- When fresh berries are on sale buy them that way. If they are really cheap than freeze them yourself.
- If you live in an area where blueberries grow than you should go and pick them yourself. Picking can be a job, but you will get a lot of blueberries for a fraction of the price.
Eating More Blueberries.
You may have to be creative to get more blueberries in your diet, but that can be half the fun.
- Add blueberries to your breakfast cereal. This can be wonderful in both cold cereal and hot cereal.
- Have a bowl of blueberries and milk. This can be a very tasty addition to a balanced breakfast or it can be a great snack.
- Blueberry muffins can also be tasty. Use a healthier flour like whole wheat, oat, or bran or mix the healthier flour with all purpose flour and you are helping your body even more.
- Enjoy blueberries on top of pancakes, waffles, or French toast.
- Have them sprinkled in a salad or as a side dish at lunch.
- Mix them with fresh yogurt. Have a low fat frozen yogurt or ice cream for dessert and top it with blueberries.
Blueberries offer a great deal of nutrition and have a lot to offer the person looking to lose weight. They should be added to the regular well balanced diet. Enjoy them often and reap the health benefits.
