Exercise in the Morning
If anybody were to ask me, when is the best time to exercise, I will say definitely, in the morning. Exercising, as soon as you get up in the morning, before you have your breakfast, helps to burn body fat. Since there is no food in your stomach, you body will use the fat stored in your body for energy.
Given below are some reasons why you should exercise in the morning.
(1) Consistent exercise:
Consistent exercise is a must, if you want to lose weight. So if you want to exercise consistently, then morning is the best time to exercise. Even if it is just for 10 minutes, it will do you good. Evening exercising might not work out; you might be physically and mentally tired by the end of the day, or something unexpected might crop up. Because of this, you might not be able to follow a regular pattern of exercising. So get into action first thing in the morning.
(2) Boosts your metabolism:
Exercising in the morning boosts up your metabolism the whole day through. This active metabolism makes your body burn calories through out the day.
(3) Increases energy level:
Exercise increases the energy level in your body. Your body will remain active and energetic through out the day. You will not feel tired or fatigued by the end of the day. You will feel like a ‘fit’ person even when you wind the day.
(4) Controls appetite:
Exercising helps in suppressing hunger, making you eat less and thus helping you to lose weight. Experienced people say that they don’t feel hungry often and this also helps them to choose better nutritious foods.
(5) Prepares you:
Waking up at the same time and exercising at the same time, will make your body adjust to that timing, and unknowingly you will wake up on that same time every morning, even without an alarm. You body knows you so well. Even before you wake up, your body will get ready for walking and exercise.
This benefits you in three ways; (a) you wake up on the right time everyday. This helps you a lot, because waking up at different time confuses your body and it will not be prepared for the exercise. (b) Since your body prepares you for exercise even before you wake up, you will feel active and energized to start your exercises. (c) You body gets prepared for exercise, by reducing your BP, regulating your heart rate etc.
(6) Helps to achieve goals:
Many people look forward to that exercise time everyday, because they have set aside the time to reach their goals, and it freshens them up.
(7) Reduces tensions:
Exercise reduces your mental tensions and helps you to relax and prepares you mentally to face the day ahead.
(8) No unexpected Happenings:
You will be free of any other schedule as soon as you wake up in the morning. This means you will find time to exercise regularly, without anything in between to prevent you from consistently exercising.
(9) Achieve good health:
Some people say that they don’t have time for exercising in the morning. Why don’t you get up 30 minutes earlier to exercise, since it helps you achieve something as important as good health?
(10) Makes you fit:
Exercising makes you fit and healthy. So go ahead and start.
