Today people all over the world are interested in losing weight. One because they are embarrassed and fed-up of their unshapely body and two because now everybody knows that excessive weight increases the risk of various diseases. Every body wants to lose weight fast but through healthy ways.
Exercising helps to burn calories:
Dieting alone will not help you to lose weight. The main thing you have to do is burn calories. You have to increase your calorie deficit. If you are consuming 1500 calories and burning 1800 calories, then you have a deficit of 300 calories. So you have to find a way to increase this calorie deficit.
There are two ways: either consume fewer calories in a day or burn more calories per day. Consuming fewer calories is not a good option because the minimum recommended calories per day for women are 1200 calories and for men it is 1500 calories. So the remaining option is to burn more calories per day. And the best way you can achieve this, is through the big ‘E’ that is ‘Exercise’.
Burn calories through aerobic and strength training exercises:
As mentioned earlier exercise is the best way to burn calories. Exercises include aerobic exercises and strength training exercises. About 60 minutes of aerobic exercises about five days a week and 30 minutes of strength training exercises 30 minutes for about three days a week will help you to burn the calories you need to lose.
How to increase your metabolism level?
Some people exercise only for 15 minutes or 30 minutes. Exercises increase the metabolism level in the body, which helps the body to burn more calories. So if you can increase your exercising time to 1800 minutes in a day, you will burn more calories. This will help you to lose fat easily.
So to increase to your metabolism and burn calories faster, this is what you should do.
Do aerobic exercises daily. Aerobic exercises are walking, jogging, running, swimming, skiing, skating, treadmill etc. Increase your time to 60 minutes, if you are doing only 30 minutes now. Did you know that 30 minutes of jogging can burn 300 calories, so you can see what 60 minutes can do?
Weight training exercises like water aerobics, weight lifting etc. increase your muscle mass. Increase in muscle mass increases your metabolism.
You can do a little exercising in the evening too. Why not take a leisure walk before and after dinner. An extra exercise is extra calories burnt.
Daily routine of the same type of exercise can be boring. You can ask a friend to join. Or you can watch TV, or listen to music while on the treadmill, or you change the type of aerobic exercise like walking one day, swimming next day and so on.
You can introduce interval training in your aerobic exercise session. This is two minutes of slow exercise followed by two minutes of intense exercise.
Incorporate physical activities into your daily routine like walk to close by places instead of driving, climb stairs and avoid elevators etc.
Train yourself as if you are going to participate in a competition, this will be a motivating factor.
