Eating the right foods is what being told to us millions of times since the day we were born. We always hear our folks saying “you should eat right foods and not junk foods”, some of them would say “for you to be healthy pick healthy foods and restrict non nutritious foods”. We all know that, in fact as we feast our eyes to different foods we always choose what would be the best for us and to grant our folk’s mission for us to be healthy would be fulfilled.

Fried chicken, chocolate cakes, lemon bars, fried calamari with breading, fried pork chop, pork belly sautéed with corns, croissants, ice creams, pork rind fried into crispiness, crispy chicken skin. All the foods mentioned above are given not so healthy foods. In fact most people would call them bad foods. We all know that these foods would not give us a healthy figure but a bigger figure instead. By just merely seeing or even hearing these foods, we are given the idea that they are not good for people losing weight or for people who are into strict diet.

5 disguised healthy foods… do they exist?

Bran muffins, sounds so healthy right? If you walk through the grocery and see this label you would surely get many of it thinking that this is a healthy food. But to tell you honestly, there are many foods out there that are not so healthy but packages keep telling us they are. These are hoax foods, healthy packaging, healthy marketing ad but poor calorie content. There are lots of them on the market.

Most people think that they are healthy because of their names or their catching healthy phrases. But if you would examine these foods closely you would see what their real color is. Here are top foods that most people think healthy but nevertheless not so healthy upon closely looking at them.

The top 5 not so healthy foods!

Bran muffins
You would be surprised that these commercially prepared bran muffins do not contain much bran on them. For one pack of these foods you can get around 500 calories and 25 grams of fat. They are rich in sugar but lacking on fiber content. If you really wanted a good bran product why not go for bran cereals which contain them most.

Tuna salad
Tunas are really great for keeping low fat food but high on protein content. But all the things that go into this salad like cheese, mayonnaise, ranch, croutons etc make it a disaster and not a diet food.

Energy bar
If you are not so active person and definitely not an athlete, you wouldn’t need this. One pack of this bar contains 200-300 calories per serving. You can get many foods which has the same calorie content but much tasty to the mouth and more filling to the stomach.

Frozen entrees
They are easy for us but it contains hidden defects. Frozen entrees usually contain very high sodium content to keep the food preserved. One meal can have as much as 400-500 mg of sodium.
