Motivation plan for weight loss; an absolute must
You have decided that you want to reduce weight, no matter if it is for the first time or you are doing this effort again, you need to make this time different. You need to promise yourself that this time things will be better and make sure that you work on it.
How can you make sure that you will attain your desired goal, well you need to work on following:
- Diet plan: make sure it is flexible and involve inducing healthy foods in your diet and making you have a life style change.
- Exercise plan: make sure that it is something you can do and it involves gradual increase in intensity.
- Motivation: you need to work on keeping yourself motivated throughout and even after achieving your desired goal of weight loss. This will help you not only achieve but also maintain your desired weight.
Usually people have trouble in keeping themselves motivated; they have a diet plan and an exercise plan to tell them what they are supposed to do. But what most us tend to over look is a motivational plan, the one which makes sure that your stick by our weight loss program and no matter what, come rain come sunshine we keep on working towards achieving that goal.
In keeping yourself motivated you need to take in to account the following:
- Realistic goal setting: Set two sets of goals, one is long term, while the other is short term. Long term goal is your, over all weight loss figure and short term goal is your target of weight loss for a month. You need to be realistic in setting both of these goals as unrealistic goals are itself a de motivator when you are not able to reach them.
- Rewards: identify your rewards and keep them in sight, look at it every day and remind yourself there is something waiting for you at the end of month and end of your program for which you have been working hard for.
- Positivity: be positive about yourself and your life. Try to look at failure as an opportunity instead of a dead end. If you find a failure do not give up rather analyze make a fresh approach to the problem and try again.
- Preplan for temptations and deviations: analyze beforehand what makes over eat and be lazy. Make plans how to avoid the situation which leads you to break your weight loss regime.
- Emotional support: Identify beforehand where you will seek emotional help. Take out inspirational stories and quotes of people who have lost weight, identify a friend or a family member whom you can call if you need to talk out your frustration.
These are the fundamentals of any motivational plan, if you take care of these before you start your weight loss program, there is no way you can go wrong in motivating yourself for a healthier and fit you.
