You need to keep things simple and easy to follow, the more difficult the task more likely the chance of de motivation. Remember do something which can be easily adjusted with the “what if” factor. For example what if the ingredients which you are supposed to eat on the diet plan is not available? Well keep a diet which gives you choices.

  • What if I cannot do the exercise today?

Follow the exercise plan which you are able to do easily. It is fundamental that your exercise plan involves gradual increase of activity. It is motivating to know that if you are not able to go to your gym today you can still have the same effect of your exercise by taking a walk in the park or in your yard.

  • Does it have a room for setbacks?
Well you went to a party and the host insisted that you have the dessert, you have a bite. Follow a plan which allows you the room for setbacks, it should not be that strict that you if deviate a little your entire week of progress is busted. Remember strict rules are de motivators themselves. So what you had a bite of a dessert do not be hard on your self do not chuck out the whole diet plan because of one bite!
