Motivation is a driving force in any weight loss plan. No matter how great your diet plan is, no matter how effective your exercise regime is, all these things are useless if you do not have the motivation necessary to start and maintain your weight loss program.
If there is lack of motivation you will see that when you start a weight loss program you will find it hard to stick to it. Motivation is necessary at the start of the plan in order to prepare yourself mentally in implementation of the plan and changing your life accordingly.
Motivation is equally important during the weight loss program. Once you adopt a new regime of weight loss you are bombarded with factors from inside your body as well as environment which can be termed as motivation buster.

What is a Motivation buster?
It can be anything which forces you to deviate from achieving your desired goal. The important thing is to realize how to recognize a motivation buster and what to do about them? Following are just some example of motivation buster:

  • You started a weight reduction plan but after a while your progress is not as much as you expected – Motivation buster, to tackle this make realistic targets based on your BMR (Basal Metabolic rate).
  • You started a strenuous exercise routine but the very next day you are in bed with pain and aches – Motivation buster, Allow you body to get in to the routine of exercise, start slowly and gradually increase momentum.

  • You started a weight loss program but you do not have time to make diet food or exercise- Motivation buster, follow an easy plan if you have busy life style. If you cannot make diet food follow a diet plan which gives you plenty of options of easy to make diet food. If you cannot take time out for 40 minutes work out try dividing the time throughout your day in different form of exercise.

All these motivation busters provide excuses for us to abandon our effort to lose weight. It is so easy to stop trying and most difficult is to keep on going. Whenever you feel like you are losing motivation just take a deep breath look at your goal, stay positive and focus on your inspiration of weight loss, you will feel rejuvenated and feel new zeal to continue in your journey of weight reduction.
